Author Guidelines

The contribution must be original and unpublished and not under evaluation for publication in another journal. The document submitted for publication must comply with the  Lei de Direito Autoral, n.9.610, de 19 de Fevereiro de 1998. The review in Portuguese and English (title, abstract, and keywords) and the style are the exclusive responsibility of the authors. In the submission process, the importance of filling in the metadata about the biography of each author on the platform is highlighted. No more than one work per authorship will be published in each issue. It is necessary, if any, to indicate a conflict of interest.

Section Policies

Articles, experience reports, and reviews are published.

Papers published in event proceedings will not be accepted.[1]

Articles resulting from course completion works (undergraduate and graduate) must be flagged in the “comments to the editor” field at the time of submission.

[1] The journal accepts to be a partner of scientific events, making available the publication of special issues containing the best works, if they are not published in full in the proceedings. To this end, the journal has its editorial policy. Interested parties should write to agorarevistaarquivologia@gmail.com

EVALUATION PROCESS

Submitted documents are preliminarily evaluated by the editor as to their adherence to the journal's focus, scope, and submission guidelines. If the submission meets the editorial policy criteria, the manuscript will be forwarded to up to three ad hoc reviewers with experience and professional competence in the subject of the work. The evaluation criteria include originality, methodological adequacy, clarity, timeliness, and contribution to the field of Archival Science. Only the document that obtains two recommendations favorable to its publication will be accepted. According to the reviewers' evaluations, the text can be accepted; accepted with mandatory corrections; rejected.

In case of rejection, the editor will inform the author and file the submission. In case of acceptance with mandatory corrections, the editor will forward to the authors the requests of the referees with the establishment of the deadline for the delivery of the new version. Accepted works will be forwarded to the review and standardization team to edit their publication.

Considering the publication in a continuous flow, the accepted, revised, and standardized articles are published as soon as the editing process is completed, and the authors communicated.
